A simple story of a church that is being deconsecrated and the priest attached retired along with it.
An interesting statement on the state of Catholicism in Western Europe.
A second story is woven in that involves illegal African immigrants using the abandoned church as a source o shelter. The priest does his best to protect the illegals but the authorities prevail.
This could have been a much better film than it was but it seemed that it was made very quickly and clearly lacked investment in production values. In other words, a very interesting premise but needed a bit more time and resources to fulfill the vision of the writer/director.
